The basic steps to commissioning a piece of furniture are as follows:

• First consultation – to discuss initial ideas and budget. Ideally to be held where the piece will be installed.
• Initial designs produced and discussed.
• Final designs and quote agreed. First payment made.
• Work starts, with client visiting the workshop in Battersea as often they wish.
• Piece personally delivered and installed. Final payment made.
• I may need to make a follow-up visit as timber adjusts to its new environment.
